Travel and Terrain Advice

This is a dangerous avalanche condition. The weather and heavy snow warnings from the afternoon have also been announced, and even if the snowfall has subsided at this time, it will continue to deteriorate in the future. Avoid large open slopes, even at low elevations. It is a state where avalanches of a potentially large scale can occur. Even if you are in the forest belt, consider whether there is a large outbreak zone at the top, and pay sufficient attention to the local occurrence area or runway in the forest. It is necessary to reduce the slope and act with a large margin of safety. For those who are inexperienced, the inside of the ski resort is a fun situation. Ski patrols manage avalanches every day, so please protect the area where you can slide and slide in pairs with your friends when skiing in fresh snow areas.

概要

Avalanche

Yesterday (12th), a size 2 plane avalanche was observed and reported in the morning safety management of the ski resort. It is an avalanche caused by storm slabs caused by snow falling during the night.

Snowpack

The amount of snowfall until the morning of yesterday (12th) reached 40-50 cm in the upper part of the below treeline, and it responded sensitively to human stimuli. The snowfall has subsided around noon, but it has become a storm to the lower elevation, and the snow cover is moving violently. There are also places where lifts at low elevations have been suspended. Under this consolidated snowfall, there is a melting frozen layer at low elevations, and low-density snow or hard snow surfaces that fell in the early hours of the 9th at high elevations, and potentially large avalanches can occur.
